A failed Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor will often have no noticeable symptoms beyond a check engine light, but it does cause your Subaru to operate inefficiently and produce higher emissions.

IE If you install an STi block in a WRX at your friends shop, do not expect a warranty claim to come through if it explodes! Please use your best judgement.
